so much excitement!!

I don't even know where to begin with this post. There are also so many emotions right now: excitement, nervousness, sadness....but I'll get to all that.

Chandler and I have so many new things happening in our lives right now! I guess we should back up a few weeks....to the first part of May.

I'm so happy to say that Chandler has graduated from college!!!! I could not be more proud of my sweet boy! He worked so hard this last semester and it really shows. He delivered an amazing final presentation for his major that I was so thankful to be present for. [Let's face it, when it comes to speech the boy has a major gift!] Not only has he graduated from college, but I can finally tell everyone that he's gotten his first adult job! He will be working at First Presbyterian Day School (FPD) where he attended high school. I would get into how he got the job, but I'll let him tell you about that! I'm so excited for him. He is so blessed to have a job right out of college; especially one that he loves! I can't wait for him to start in July! Only a few more weeks, Mr. Lee! :]

As for me....

I have decided to take a break from grad-school. It has gotten very expensive, so I'm taking some time to work and pay down loans. I'm excited to announce that I will be the new assistant manager at Francesca's Collections at the Shoppes at River Crossing! (Hellllooo, Macon!) I begin on Sunday (yes, June 10!). I'm so excited right now to begin a new chapter of my life with a full-time job, but, on the flip-side, I'm going to miss my wonderful team friends from maurices. Since August I have learned from (in my opinion) the best in the company. The girls were not only my co-workers, but they also became my friends. They were there for me through the good times and the bad: they were there when I had my first big sale; they were there for my promotion; they were there when I did things right....and when I did things wrong. I could not be more thankful for the amazing ladies that God placed in my life at just the right time.

As excited as I am to begin my new job and move to a new city, I know that packing up will bring lots of tears and memories. Milledgeville has been my home since August of 2007. I've been at my best here...and at my worst, but I know without all of my experiences I would not be where I am today. I knew this day would come, the day I finally left Milledgeville, but I never had any idea that this small town would have the impact on me that it has. I've learned so much about myself in the last five years, and for that I could not be more thankful.

I am anxious to see what God has in store for me in the coming months. Everything that has happened with our new jobs is completely a God thing. I just happened to walk into Francesca's one day and found out they were hiring. The opportunity could not have come at a better time.

"But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint."
-Isaiah 40:31

I will continue to blog as the weeks go on about life in a new (bigger!!!) city as well as the new job.

until next time
